I use Open Office, a.k.a. "OOo". This is a FREE office suite software that rivals the features of Microsoft's expensive Office Suite (MS Word, Access, Excel and Powerpoint. I decided to explore alternatives to Microsoft software about a year ago. This is one of the best products I have found to replace MS Office Suite.
Open Office Suite includes Writer, Impress, Math, Draw, Calc and Base. These replace the functions of MS Office's softwares. I took a few days of fiddling around to figure out how to use the OOo products as well as I use MS Office. Clarity is reduced here because I converted it to an image that is easier to view on the web. Starting from a blank document, it took me about 4 hours to figure out all the features and complete this. Most of the time was spent familiarizing myself with the methods of accomplishing the goal.
